The Orchestra CAMERATA XXI

As a natural evolution of the teaching project initiated by Camerata XXI at Reus / Tarragona in 1990, it quickly became aparent that there was a demand to establish a new professional orchestra to enrich the cultural lives of the people of this region.

With this goal in mind, the Orchestra CAMERATA XXI was established and presented its inaugural concerts in the summer of 2002, supported by The City Governments of Tarragona and Reus, The Caixa Tarragona, The Theatre Bartrina in Reus, The Patronat Municipal “Auditori Pau Casals” in El Vendrell and The Regional Government of Tarragona.

The orchestra performs now at venues throughout Catalunya and is a regular participant in The “Pau Casals” International Music Festival in El Vendrell.

The Orchestra CAMERATA XXI performs a mainly classical repertoire in both symphonic and chamber forms.
